The Middle South Platte River Wetland Mitigation Bank is an 80-acre site established in 1999 in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. This bank utilizes the most senior water rights in Colorado. The site uses a passive irrigation system for a wetland and prairie complex, which was previously used to grow alfalfa.
