Management of Carbon Sequestration in Soil is the first of three volumes of proceedings from a July 1996 symposium at Ohio State University. In the book, scientists discuss the role of soil in the atmospheric carbon cycle, various mechanisms for keeping carbon underfoot, and related policy issues. They cover soil management, crops to regulate carbon pools, the Conservation Reserve Program, pastures and grasslands, forests, predicting and verifying carbon storage under Canadian prairies, and the need for research and action.
