The Ecological Footprint Forum will include keynote speakers: Jacqueline McGlade, Executive Director, European Environment Agency, Simon Upton, Chair of the OECD Roundtable on Sustainable Development, and Mick Bourke, Chair of EPA Victoria among others. The Global Footprint Network will launch its standards and offer a free Footprint 101 workshop after the morning speeches.
In addition to the public conference, there will be a training in the application of the Ecological Footprint during an intensive one-day workshop on the underlying science, methodological principles, project design, tools, and communication strategies of the Footprint.
The forum will be preceded by two days of meetings for Global Footprint Network partner organizations on strategies, campaign goals, and future development of standards and certification. These events are only open to Global Footprint Network partner organizations.
