The Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) will host an interactive Ecosystem Services Conference, A New Generation: Strategies for Managing Corporate and Public Lands, on June 24 -25, 2010, in Silver Spring, Maryland. The conference aims to educate WHC members and other corporate and conservation partners on the connections between habitat management, biodiversity conservation, and sustainability with ecosystem service-based strategies.
The conference will provide a forum for sharing the latest developments on using ecosystem services to restore and manage land, as well as a forum to generate opportunities for road test projects. This conference is the second in a series using member expertise and partner collaboration to incorporate ecosystem services in to existing WHC programs.
