The U.S. Enivronmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Agriculture will host the 2nd National Water Quality Trading Conference, 23-25 May 2006, including a one-day optional background workshop on 22 May. Goals include the development of water quality trading programs at the watershed level, including increased development of agricultural water quality markets, and focus on voluntary, market-based approach to cleaner water. The conference will also discuss the USDA National
Policy on Market-Based Environmental Stewardship.
