Carboncounter.org, released by the Climate Trust and Mercy Corps, is a simple online tool for individuals to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide they emit every year from daily activities (i.e., home, car and air use). Using an easy-to-use online test, users can determine the amount of carbon dioxide they emit in only a couple of minutes, or take a streamlined "averaging" approach. The site then provides options for financially supporting real projects and programs (including forest conservation and restoration) that reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the environment.
