Venture capitalists are familiar in the US and Europe. Less well-known are "adventure capital" funds seeking sustainable development projects in developing countries. "Adventure capital" funds seek to harness the power of capitalism to preserve biodiversity and generate public benefits in some of the poorest and most remote regions in the world.
